Alternadudes review

Intro:
There’s something about a bad boy that drives women insane. Don’t believe me, think about how much pussy Dave Navarro gets. That guy’s a veritable turnstile of female companionship! These are the kinds of guys you’ll find at Alternadudes, a site that claims to host “the hottest alternative guys: skaters, surfers, rockers, punks, goths, emo guys and other real alt guys with tattoos, piercings, and more”. At $29.95 a month, Alternadudes isn’t the cheapest gay amateurs site on the ‘net, but it’s fresh, new, and hosts guys that most gay sites seem to forget about. If you like ‘em rough and authentically “alt”, Alternadudes could be your favorite site in this history of the Internet; your very own gay-as-gay-can-be Suicide Boys, but with cocksucking and assfucking!

Pros:
Not surprisingly, Alternadudes stars lots of great “alternative guys” - from grungers to emos; from skaters to cyberpunks - and you’ll get to see them engage in all sorts of boy/boy hardcore and solo masturbation scenes. As is often the case with amateur gay sites, the guys occasionally seem a little blasé, but they put on a good show all the same.

Each model is featured on his own profile page and you’re given a decent amount of information on his lifestyle and sexual habits, as well as his physiological makeup (body hair, eye color, cock size etc). A Tag Cloud that sits at the bottom of most pages also helps you find similar models and scenes.

Although an Alternadudes membership will initially set you back $29.95 and provide you with a full month of access, you’ll save substantially if you allow your membership to recur the following month. At $19.95 for your second month onwards, continued membership does have its rewards.

Many scenes are accompanied by a Music Video. This is a secondary scene that reedits the original footage to music and presents the model in something of a new light. These clips are fast, vibrant, and lots of fun.

Cons:
With only 60 scenes currently online, Alternadudes doesn’t really have much staying power at the moment. Visitors, should they decide to join the site, will probably tear through every available scene in the first month and may be left with nothing else to amuse and abuse themselves with.

Updates are added like clockwork every Thursday. Not too shabby, but I would love to see a couple of more updates per week. Between regular updates, Alternadudes adds bonus content - either outtakes, extra interview footage, or downloadable desktop wallpapers.

Alternadudes’ videos could definitely use an upgrade. Although claiming to be “high quality”, the WMVs only reach 720x404 pixels and certainly don’t impress as much as brand new professional footage of amateur guys should.

The site’s design isn’t unattractive, but could certainly be refined to make it seem more modern and streamlined. I’m talking about the simple things like text size (too big) and color (too garish) that are all easy fixes.

Conclusion:
In an industry where so many sites seem to falter from the outset and eventually, inevitably crumble into nothingness, Alternadudes is off to a strong start. With almost 60 hot, young, decidedly left-of-center models putting their penises and personalities on show just for you (and a few much needed C-notes), Alternadudes seems to be heading in the right direction: a unique niche, decent quality (although with room for improvement), and fantastic models; there’s even a blog that’s quite an enjoyable read. It’ll be interesting to see if Alternadudes continues growing into something truly worthwhile or ends up sucking major ass (and not in a good way) like so many other upstart sites. Better wait and see with this one, folks, ‘cause it could really go either way.
