It might not be a hit with some of the most famous women in the world, but Celebrity Sleuth magazine has been flying off newsstands and into the hands of oversexed men and shamelessly gossip-hungry women for many years. Although often confused with its main printed competitor, Celebrity Skin, the Sleuth has made a name for itself by exposing the seedier side of the rich and famous; that is, the oft-ogled bodies, whether nude or just barely dressed, in photographic form. Scouring the ‘net and offline media sources for nip-slips, upskirts, sultry magazine shots, movie screencaps, and candid shots of vacationing Hollywood hotties, Celebrity Sleuth brings you the finest famous bodies how you’ve always wanted to see them. With some stiff competition coming from the likes of Mr. Skin, the Sleuth sure has its work cut out, but hopefully there’s enough excitement here to warrant the $24.99 monthly membership fee. First impressions, though: the site doesn’t look particularly well designed, a crucial component of large celebrity-based sites, and in general feels a bit past its used-by date, but we can hope things improve once we’re inside, right.
Pros:
Celebrity Sleuth holds a very large archive of celebrity nudes, candids, screencaps, and otherwise sexually provocative imagery. It’s pretty much impossible to give a spot-on count of how many pics are hosted here, but it’s nearing the 500,000 image mark touted by the tour page. There’s a wide range of hot celeb women here.
Updates are made to the already large site very frequently and bring a huge slew of new pics from various sources to your desktop. Wanna find out who the latest celebrity boner-magnet is? The Sleuth isn’t a bad place to find out. (It’s not Ke$ha. Ke$ha’s sooo March 2010.)
The magazine issue archive at Celebrity Sleuth extends back to 1985 and provides ample entertainment for the discerning gossipmonger and celebrity observer. You’ll find plenty of feature pictorials complete with amusing captions and noteworthy anecdotes of a sinfully sexual nature. Great reading here, folks!
Cons:
Celebrity Sleuth’s content is obviously not exclusive in any way. In fact, you can find much of it with some crafty Google Image Searching and by trawling the blogosphere. The quality of the photo content can also disappoint and often only reaches resolutions your grandpappy might have found impressive back in the summer of ’54. It’s understandable when you consider that these shots have come from a variety of sources from a variety of eras, but you won’t find many high-resolution Blu-Ray screencaps or pro photos that exceed 1200px here.
Also, fakes abound. If you don’t know, fakes usually throw a celebrities head on a pornstar’s or nude model’s body, making it seem like that really is Christina Hendricks getting her famous breasts covered in jizz...‘cept it’s obviously a “shoop”.
Sleuth presents a rather woeful collection when compared to the bigger names in the celebuspotting business: Mr. Skin and even the old Mr. Pink’s favorite Banned Celebs, all of which host much more content on a far more user-friendly website.
Whoever designed Celebrity Sleuth really needs to take a look at enrolling in some kind of web design course at their local community college. Yeah, it’s an unattractive and awkwardly functioning site to say the least.
No videos, not even ridiculous fantasy sex sequences from that horrendous excuse for inventive television, True Blood, starring everyone’s favorite private-cum-public politically motivated bisexual, Anna (‘member me from The Piano?) Paquin. Bummer, man. Seeing celebs pretend to fuck is much more exciting than bikini shots, for sure.
Conclusion:
When held up against the big dogs of the celebrity nudes industry, Celebrity Sleuth doesn’t compare too favorably. It’s not that the Sleuth doesn’t deliver the goods, it’s more that it delivers them in such a way that it’s quite difficult to just sit back and let yourself be impressed and engorged by the bevy of famous babes’ bodies now at your disposal. The design of Sleuth is really quite poor and definitely hinders your browsing. The content available here is, of course, non-exclusive and can be found on numerous other sites and sometimes even by a simple online image search. Videos don’t seem to be of concern to the Sleuth webmasters, as none are present anywhere on the site, leaving the large archive of back issues as the only real reason to consider throwing down fifteen bucks a month for a Celebrity Sleuth membership.
