If Club Pink Velvet isn't one of the most inviting and evocative names for an all-female porn site to come along in a while, I don't know what... uh... Damn these women are attractive! Check out the tour page if you wanna see some uber-babes, fellas, 'cause Club Pink Velvet has a bunch of them. What's more, they all seem to be pretty keen on each other and not in a platonic sense. Bright graphics bring your attention to announcements: "Watch full video in 720p High Definition," "Every day 1 new photoset and 1 new video," "High quality is out motto," and "The worlds most stunning models." The Join Now button leads you to a payment system that wants at least $19.95 from you and that'll get you a month of access while $49.95 gets you three and $79.95 gets six. Isn't twenty dollars a bit much to blow on an unknown entity like Club Pink Velvet? I mean, looks can be deceiving - take featured model Sandra Shine: she's hot enough to warrant her being, like, a total she-devil, but she actually seems really lovely - and who's to say Club Pink Velvet isn't merely a front for an online "big store" confidence scam, or perhaps, even worse, a frightfully dull and unappealing, cheaply-shot, unconvincingly performed lesbian smut site that barely arouses your waiting member, let alone your wallet. Who's to say? Why, Mr. Pink, that's who!

Pros:
If the women of Club Pink Velvet look familiar, that's likely because you've seen them gracing the pages of many a European erotica site over the past seven or eight years. Notable performers include Aletta Ocean, Anita Pearl, Sandra Shine, and Sophie Moone, and they're all presented here in a loving fashion, physically speaking; that is: they fuck each other as only European erotica models can.

Club Pink Velvet's homepage sees regular updates arriving on a daily basis, adding to the 125 videos, 49 episodes, and 222 photo galleries. Though it isn't an overly large site, with an update schedule like that it won't be long before Club Pink Velvet becomes one.

Most of the newest Club Pink Velvet video updates offer solid videos that reach 720x405 and 1280x720 pixel resolutions, the latter, of course, being High Definition. Photo content is also offered at high resolutions, reaching a peak of 2000px as well as 800px and 1200px; the galleries' feature-heavy slideshow is a great way to view them.

Club Pink Velvet is the work of noted erotic photographer Viv Thomas, the same man who welcomed Penny Flame into the European industry, ushered Alicia Rhodes to notoriety, and both produced and directed the films Pink Velvet: The Innocence of Lesbian Love, Pink Velvet 2: The Loss of Innocence, and Pink Velvet 3: A Lesbian Odyssey.

Cons:
Photo content might reach a high resolution of 2000px, but at this size there is far too much noticeable pixilation that distorts the image. The smaller sizes look much clearer and the seem to be about the best we can expect from the original photo files, or what's left of them.

Actually, generally speaking, most of the content offered at Club Pink Velvet seems quite dated, perhaps five or six years old. The image quality, though quite strong, is far from pristine and both the photographic style and the style of outfits worn by the models seem a number of reasons old.

When assembling a review such as this, it always pays to measure your observations against those of other vocal porn fans. In doing so for this review, I found numerous comments that placed the size of Club Pink Velvet's video collection at about 415 scenes, the photo collection at 550 galleries. Currently, however, the site only appears to offer a fraction of that archive: 173 videos and 222 galleries. What happened?

The photos and videos held here certainly don't constitute the best work we've seen from Viv Thomas. The quality isn't low per se, just lower than what Thomas usually brings to the table. This can't help but make Club Pink Velvet seem very much like a secondary endeavor for the usually impressive erotic photographer.

Conclusion:
From the beginning, Club Pink Velvet, with its promised HD videos, daily updates, and Viv Thomas seal of quality, looked set to impress. The further you push into the site, however, the less impressive it all begins to be. The HD formats are not available for all scenes, not even all of those found under the HD Videos menu option. Easily the most frustrating issue, though, is the apparent disappearance of some 250 to 300 videos and about the same number of galleries. Reports of the existence of this now absent content can be found elsewhere online, but, whatever the case, it's definitely not here now. Daily updates are arriving, as promised, and will soon have the site back up to its plentiful size, but the incoming content unfortunately looks much the same as what was already here: lesbian content that stars gorgeous European pornstars, but somehow manages to feel  a little dated and somewhat uninspired.
