It has been said that laughter is the best aphrodisiac and the recent avalanche of parody porn doesn’t exactly discredit that notion. With pop-culture icons like Seinfeld, The Golden Girls, and I Love Lucy, as well as more contemporaneous targets like TMZ, UFC, and The Twilight Saga, falling victim to the porn industry’s warped sense of humor, isn’t it about time all the best porn parodies were collected in one place for your convenience? Devil’s Film, one of the businesses leading producers of parody porn has thrown all of its irreverent adult spoofs online at Devil’s Film Parodies, a site that really could have used a snappier, wittier name. For $29.95 a month, Devil’s Film Parodies members can witness the devilishly funny debauchery that is Coctomom, Jon and Kate Fuck Eight, and plenty of other porno parodies based on such notable intellectual properties as Twilight, Big Love, The Biggest Loser, Madmen, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and many more. With some of porn’s hottest performers in tow, all gussied up as the TV and movie characters you’ve always wanted to bang, Devil’s Film Parodies presents a wild, rocking ride through pop-culture as only the United States pornography industry knows how.

Pros:
Everyone loves parody porn - even your girlfriend might be down to watch a few minutes of This Ain’t Big Love: A XXX Parody - and Devil’s Film is leading the recent resurgence in parody productions, hosting all their DVD titles online at Devil’s Film Parodies.

As these titles require something resembling acting, you might imagine most pornstars are basically unwatchable until they start fucking. Not so! Jenna Haze, Audrey Hollander, Ruby Knox, and Vannah Sterling all perform very well (the latter as the sperm-collecting Coctomom) and Vin Vericose reveals his natural comic timing.

All videos available at Devil’s Film Parodies are labeled “HD” and can be streamed in rather impressive resolutions. The maximum appears to be 960x540 pixels, a frame size that, although not the standard 720p or 1080p formats, is still High Definition.

Cons:
The update schedule, if you can call it that, in place at Devil’s Film Parodies is indeed a strange one. Having uploaded almost its entire arsenal of parody porn (46 of the 47 available scenes) on a single day (February 22nd 2011), the sites update page saw no new additions until April 9th when a single scene was thrown online. Hopefully a more regular schedule will be implemented soon.

Although it’s great to see High Definition content online here, it’s a real shame that these videos are only available for streaming and cannot under any circumstances be downloaded. Those who wish to save the videos must make do with a maximum resolution of 720x400 pixels; hardly as satisfying as HD.

Perhaps this is nitpicking, but it’d be great if Devil’s Film Parodies put a little effort into titling their releases. “This Isn’t Big Love: The XXX Parody” and “This Isn’t The New Moon” can’t hold a candle to such classics as Edward Penishands and Star Whores. After all, cheap puns are the parody porn producers bread and butter.

As noted earlier, there are only 47 scenes online here at Devil’s Film Parodies and that’s not enough to satisfy any member with a reasonable appetite for irreverent parody porn. Maybe once the update schedule is sorted out, the archive will steadily grow to a more fulfilling size.

Conclusion:
Parody porn has been around for a long time - early notables include Forrest Hump, DP2: The Mighty Phucks, Quantum Deep, and the Backside to the Future trilogy - but the sub-genre’s recent resurgence in popularity has sparked a huge revival that is seeing pretty much every notable contemporary pop-culture entity (and many from yesteryear) lampooned in explicit hardcore fashion. Devil’s Film has led the recent charge into parody overload with titles offering explicit remakes of Jon & Kate Plus Eight, Madmen, and Big Love, among others, and all 12 titles are available right here on Devil’s Film Parodies. Although the site offers some dynamic and extremely entertaining pornography - “Cum and laugh at the same time!” says the tour page - the archive is quite small (only 47 scenes from 12 DVDs) and the update schedule uncertain. The streaming HD videos look great, as do the 1920x1280 pixel photos that accompany every scene, but without HD downloads the satisfaction level drops quite substantially. If the current spate of parody porn titles floods and destroys its own market like many in the industry and at home expect, Devil’s Film Parodies might just end up being a relic of a bygone fad attached to a great network, Fame Digital. Let’s hope, then, that parody porn doesn’t lose its luster and continues to thrive in dorm rooms across the country.
