Overview:
Interactivity has been a buzzword in many industries for years. From the first glimmer of interactivity to arrive on the market in VHS form to 2007's milestone DVD release Total Interactive Control of Sasha Grey to, well, today's numerous Internet-enabled gadgets and gizmos, all designed to have you spasming and shooting loads harder than ever before, it's clear interactive porn has come a long way. The name JoyMii certainly recalls Nintendo's wand-waving console, Wii, and suggest that the joy members of this site receive is bestowed in a deeply personal way - "It's tailored to Mii? Awesome!" Further inspection shows, however, that JoyMii doesn't do much more than present beautifully shot hardcore porn starring the lustiest, filthiest women in Europe and North America; but perhaps that's enough. JoyMii charges $29.95 for one month of access and, although that asking price isn't exactly the most affordable in porn (which I, Mr. Pink, intend to do something about), it certainly doesn't seem unreasonable if the site in question delivers a premiere porn viewing experience. Let's find out where the confusingly titled JoyMii falls on the spectrum of pornographic wonderment!

Pros:
Offering fans "a hardcore take on erotica", JoyMii combines the explicit sexual activity of hardcore porn with the refined, sophisticated photographic style of European erotica. The result is a thoroughly engaging 228-scene collection of supremely sexy solo, hetero, and lesbian hardcore episodes rendered in photo and video form.

JoyMii is well regarded for its high quality imagery and nothing has changed in that regard. Photo galleries still offer four viewing resolutions both online and in zips, giving members the choice between 800, 1200, 3000, and 4500px photos, all loaded with incredible detail and dynamic range. Vide content is also of a high quality, reaching 720p HD resolutions in both WMV and MP4 formats. If there's one area JoyMii excels in, it's image quality.

A new scene is added to JoyMii's archive between two and there times each week with updates alternating between photo galleries and their related video episodes. Each scene welcomes either a newcomer to JoyMii or a return visit from the likes of Chastity Lynn, Jana Jordan, Eufrat, Faye Reagan, Lily Carter, Ariel Piperfawn, and Jennifer White, to name but a few.

Some of you might be balking at paying $29.95 a month for a site you're not quite convinced has what it takes to satisfy you. If that's the case, why not take advantage of Mr. Pink's discount scheme and join for $24.95 instead? Sure, it's not an enormous saving, but every little bit counts, right?

Cons:
Woody Allen once wrote that sex is dirty, or at least it would be if done right. Judging by that rubric, JoyMii isn't really doing it as right as it could be, if you know what I mean. Depending on the performers, JoyMii's scenes can either bring convincingly intimate lovemaking or rather awkward, stilted, artificial dispassionate humping. Unfortunately, it seems there's more of the latter.

Although the models are, collectively, one of the best reasons to throw some money JoyMii's way, they haven't been treated very well by the site. Not only are many women named only by their first names (and sometimes last initial), leaving them somewhat tricky to quickly and accurately identify, they haven't been given full profiles either, only links to their online JoyMii scenes and galleries.

While it's great to see 720p HD videos online here, it'd be even better to one day log in and find JoyMii has upgraded to 1080p HD resolutions. Considering the photo galleries reach 4500px without much trouble, I can't imagine there's anything preventing JoyMii from producing 1080p content, perhaps aside from server costs.

A number of JoyMii members past and present have reportedly encountered a download limit. Preventing you from hoarding more than 3 GB in one hour, hitting this limit will result in your access and download privileges being revoked for three hours. Now, most folks won't encounter this fairly generous restriction, but those that do will likely revolt.

Conclusion:
JoyMii hasn't yet reached a size as impressive as its sister site, FemJoy, but, at nearly 250 scenes, it's getting closer and closer with each passing week. The High Definition videos currently offered may not reach 1080p, instead stopping short at 720p, but they look damn good and offer plenty of clarity and dynamism whether viewed online or downloaded in WMV or MP4 formats. Photo galleries also impress and offer multiple viewing resolutions to suit all tastes and platform; the best of these, the 4500px images, can be downloaded in zips and look, quite frankly, incredible. In time, JoyMii will amass a larger, more fulfilling archive, but the site will hopefully also upgrade to 1080p and somehow manage to deliver more convincing hardcore scenes than the slightly tepid, rehearsed, and stilted ones currently available. After all, when almost everything else looks this close to perfect, what else is there to focus on but the sex?
