Paparazzi Filth review

Overview:
I know you're thinking the same things I am when you're catching up on TMZ's celebrity gossip. Your fingers are crossed; the only word going through your mind is "sextapesextapesextape". Thankfully you no longer have to watch a half hour of uneventful celebutards running in and out of clubs, palming off paparazzo and grabbing attention wherever and however they can. Paparazzi Filth has come to the rescue with hundreds of photos, screencaps and video of guaranteed (and alleged) authentic depictions of celebrity sexuality, both intentionally taken and highly candid.

The design of the site is fairly amateurish and outdated. This isn't a great first impression to make, as it implies a lack of dedication of the webmaster's part and hints that there might not be a regular update timetable. Thankfully, updates are still being made to Paparazzi Filth (PF) every day, with both video and photo content being added on a regular basis. Finding the update you're most interested in can be a little frustrating, though, this is mostly due to the aforementioned outdated design that can get in the way of intuitive navigation. Your favorite actress/model/singer/reality TV "star" can be found via a menu bar at the top of each page that links to the various sections of the site: Celebrity Home, Pictures, Sex Tapes and Videos. There's also a "bonus" section that doesn't look particularly enthralling.

Personally, I've got a thing for Julianne Moore (Shut up! She's hot!); I found some pretty good pics and videos featuring the supremely talented redhead by simply clicking on "J", for that is the letter her first name begins with. There's a pretty thorough biography on Ms. Moore's page that includes not only her film highlights but a bunch of neat trivia and quotes from throughout her career. More important than her stance on reproductive freedom and how she felt when nominated for a Best Actress Academy Award, however, is the quantity and quality of media provided by the webmasters of PF to arouse me!

Ms. Moore has four videos from various movies available for download and she's nude (or at least topless) in all of them. Boogie Nights was where I first occasioned to view her freckled, naked torso so that's where I'll begin. There are two short clips from the movie and they've been made available in a few different resolution options: 216x120, 428x240 and 856x480 (all in WMV format). The videos on PF are generally of a pretty nice quality. Some of the clips are taken from VHS copies and look a little worse for wear but everything sourced from a DVD is very watchable.

Image sizes vary from a modest 530x360 to a huge 2800x2121 - it all depends on the source, I suppose. Photos scanned by the webmasters are obviously going to be quite large and candid shots gathered from the darkest recesses of teh internets [sic] will usually be on the smaller side of things. There's really no way to determine what size the pics of your favorite celebrity gal will be until you check them out for yourself.

As part of the Platinum network of sites, membership to Paparazzi Filth also grants you access to a few bonus sites, interesting options include Big Brother Exposed (featuring contestants from the TV show), Foxxy Movies and Arse Shafters, the spelling of which gives a clue as to the site's national origins (it's either English or Australian). Sure, these bonus sites are moderately entertaining, but I guarantee you'll spend the majority of your time searching for that elusive boob shot of Natalie Portman or marveling at just how often Marissa Tomei gets her gear off.

Membership costs $29.95 per month but there's also the option of purchasing a three day limited trial membership for $4.95 if you need to check things out before you commit (probably a good idea). What's also a good idea is to read the rest of this review, as it contains both negative and positive points regarding the worth of Paparazzi Filth's content and service.

Pros:
- There are loads (haw) of enjoyable content available at Paparazzi Filth, ranging from nude film scenes and hot photo spreads to candid beach shots and nipple slips to scandalous sex tapes.

- Most of your favorite she-stars will be here. Everyone I searched for, I found, with only a few exceptions. Then again, though, I have weird taste. Lily Tomlin, anyone?

- The site is updated pretty much everyday; often a couple of new galleries are added in each update. There's a handy listing of what's recently been uploaded and what will be online soon.

Cons:
- Poor and unpleasant web design makes browsing the site feel like you're trudging through one of the first celebrity nude sites way back in 1993 - especially when you take into account the lack of user features and crummy navigation.

- Many famous women aren't listed, even though their popularity and tendency to do nude scenes is at an all time high. Mary Louise Parker, where are you?

- Videos are watchable but could definitely benefit from a quality/resolution boost. Nobody's going to want to watch a 216x120 pixel video unless they're carrying it around on their iPod, so some MP4 or M4V files would be a nice addition.

- Don't expect every single woman you look up to have nudes. Some are only represented by a handful of sexy photos that are likely to strengthen your desire to see them in the buff.

- Fake sex tapes are more common than reports of Tom Sizemore having a relapse and, unfortunately, Paparazzi Filth doesn't discard the obviously phony ones. I know for a fact that ain't WWE Diva Mickie James getting it from behind.

- Of course exclusivity is going to be an issue with any site like this.

Conclusion:
Paparazzi Filth doesn't have a particularly enviable job. There's a well-established competitor that offers essentially the same service (but better), and has the benefit of being almost a household name. I won't give the name away, but it's called Mr. Skin. Sure, the Paparazzi Filth webmasters get to gawk at pics of super hot celebrity chicks all day long but they also have to deal with the elephant in the room that is Mr. Skin's deservedly fantastic reputation. If they're going to be a threat to their aforementioned competitors' dominance of this niche market, there's definitely some work to do. For starters, they should concentrate on the sex tape niche a bit more since that is one area Mr. Skin lacks. Videos should be higher quality, the whole site could use a more professional design and navigation system, and fakes should be weeded out or isolated to a different area. You get the drift. Come on, you filthy bastards! I know you can do it!
