Shane’s World review

Overview:
Hey, broham! Having fun being outsmarted on contemporary issues by your demented 81-year-old Grandpa? Dude! Bummer! You never went to college; never belonged to a frat; never saw two girls licking Hershey's Chocolate Syrup off of each other's nipples at a crowded party, did you? Well, now's your chance, bud! Shane, of Seymore and Shane fame, is the proprietor of Shane's World Online and is giving you the chance to finally finish your adult education (just not the academic kind)! Get ready to toss your graduation cap high into the air, ‘cause Mr. Pink is taking you back to college, baby! Whoo!

Shane’s World’s tour page doesn’t make many promises. In fact, the only promise you’ll find is the promise to give you a partying good time! There are 16 “jam packed” members’ area sections, a live video chat, online community pages, and miscellaneous bonus content. Seeing the kegs and red plastic cups that decorate the tour area is making me feel like a brewski, how about you? I suppose we should get the homework out of the way first, though, right? Shit, no, dude! Pass the spout and read on as I pour myself an ice-cold one! Booyah!

Upon first landing inside Shane's World Online, there's one thing that's an undeniable fact: the site has a unique and, well, fairly odd layout. Cumulonimbus roll by in the background while we're left staring at a mock college building façade dotted porn-filled windows. Rolling your cursor over each one will animate an introductory video starring one of the hot college girl models that you'll soon get to know rather intimately. Alexis Texas gives you the lowdown on the network's flagship site, Shane's World, while other honeys let you know what's in store for you at College Invasion, Blazed & Confused, College Guide To..., Nerdz, Girls Night Out, Slumber Party, Frathouse College Amateur Hour and Virtual BJs. Clicking any of these will point you in the direction of their genre-specific collection of content, but there's another way to make the rounds; the top-of-page menu bar allows you to access all parts of the network in a cinch. Home, My Account, Favorites, SWO Sites, Updates and Hang Out are the options, but there's also an Extras drop-down menu that shows you where to find all the bonus goodies Shane and her college cronies have thoughtfully collected for their grateful fans.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any kind of model index page and, as I'm sure my loyal readers will remember, I really hate it when there's no model index. I really, really, really hate it. Beating off to Penny Flame isn’t the same as beating off to Missy Monroe, so why should it be such an ordeal to produce a simple page that tells the paying customers which models are on the site or network and what they look like? Thanks to this disappointing oversight, you'll have to find your desired beat-off material the more tedious way - by update or category. I'm all about state-of-the-art technology - the freshest news, hottest grooves and latest footwear fashions - so it's no surprise to myself or my psychoanalyst that I'll be checking out the Shane's World Online fuck flick collection by update.

Content seems to be added reasonably often but in an irregular fashion. The update list shows the last four additions to the site arriving on a Friday and Tuesday, followed by a Wednesday and Friday. The most recent update came online ten days ago, which isn’t particular reassuring. I'm not sure what's going on with their update schedule but it doesn't appear to be very solid. Aside from the date added, each listing is displayed with one thumbnail image and the title of the movie. Thankfully, the title is often just the name of the featured performers. Each scene page opens to a ready-to-load streaming Flash movie trailer and some links to either stream or download the full movie in both WMV and FLV/Flash formats. No resolution or quality options are provided and the only still images on hand are a collection of forgettable screencaps, usually numbering around 130. The newest videos are of reasonable quality, with the WMVs hitting 720x480 pixels and the FLVs matching that standard. I must say that I wish the resolutions and bitrates were a little higher here; it'd definitely make the videos a more worthwhile download. As it is, they’re only so-so… kinda like your education, dropout!

The various sub-sites all have a pretty well defined theme, as I'm sure you gathered when I listed them a little earlier. Here's a proper rundown: Shane's World features pretty standard Gonzo-style porn with college-age cuties; College Invasion is full of videos showing the wildest sex at the wildest college parties; Blazed & Confused contains girls that live the high life, both in terms of their marijuana intake and their sexual proclivities; College Guide To… teaches you the most valuable lessons a guy can learn while attending university (how to get laid without fail, how to broach the subject of anal sex with a girl etc); Nerdz proves that even the dweebiest pocket-protecting, ergonomic keyboard-using putz can get laid in college; Girls Night Out offers a number of wild party videos where the girls in question get up to more mischief while away from their boyfriends than you ever thought possible; Slumber Party aims to remove any doubt in your mind that girls don't just stay over at each other's apartments to talk and try out makeup; College Amateur Tour is one college guide's adventures with his sexy future-freshman female guests; and Virtual BJs is so obvious I don't even need to use the letters P, O and V.

While much of the content is very entertaining and will surely make you long for your early 20s (unless you're still there, you lucky bastard), some of the videos are quite repetitive and could belong in any number of the categories. Some sub-sites only have a handful of scenes currently available and definitely need more fleshing out before they're truly worth visiting.

A monthly membership to Shane's World Online costs the seemingly arbitrary price of $28.96 per 30 days. You can elect to pay for 90 days worth of access in one hit and receive a discount, your total becoming $69 instead of $86.88. Is it all worth it? Between your books, tuition and beer money, can you afford to get lessons from Shane and the gang? The pros and cons list (required reading, by the way) will definitely help you decide once and for all whether you're going to major in slacking or sex.

Pros:
- There’s a decent collection of mostly exclusive content available here at Shane’s World Online.

- The types of porn you'll be getting for your membership fee are all tried-and-true winning formulas starring college-aged beauties that just love to fuck.

- If you love “partying”, “drinking” and “getting all fucked up”, you'll find you have a lot in common with the participants of these videos.

- Some of the world’s biggest pornstars have made appearances on this here network. Alexis Texas was even discovered by Shane’s World.

Cons:
- The design of Shane’s World certainly takes some getting used to. It’s not exactly the most functional layout for a website.

- Some of the content styles get rather repetitive after a few viewings.

- A few sections of the site are very low on content; right now Blazed & Confused only has five videos.

- The only photos available are screenshots from the videos. A few high quality photo galleries wouldn't go astray. Neither would some higher quality videos.

- The Virtual BJ site doesn’t seem to feature any exclusive content at all. For shame!

Conclusion:
If college life is exactly as depicted by the folks behind Shane’s World Online, it’s no wonder people stay enrolled well into their late 30s. Beer, bongs, and pussy! That’s all Shane’s world seems to revolve around. It’s just a shame that, like the real college experience, Shane’s World has a dark and dreary side. Updates are difficult to track and there’s really not a whole lot of content online for a nine-site network. In fact, Shane’s World Online doesn’t even seem to be maintained on a consistent basis. The most recent updates feature Eva Angelina and are obviously from a very early stage of her career. Not exactly new content, is it? Like all colleges, changes need to be made and students need to feel fulfilled. If Shane’s World Online wants to continue bringing home to bacon, a major upgrade and overhaul needs to happen in the next few years. If not, it’ll be community college for all those poor horny guys like yourself that just want a taste of college life.
