Overview:
These days, Ice Cube and Eazy-E ain’t the only guys to call women “bitches”. Pornstars, both male and female, seem to use the term freely, rockers and hip-hoppers are throwing it around like nobody’s business, and even mainstream television personalities feel comfortable enough calling someone a bitch as long as it’s accompanied by the appropriate degree of ironic inflection. What does it mean? Where did it originate? Well, female dogs are called bitches, but why are women dogs? I figure they’re more aligned with the felines than the canines, but what do I know? Well, I know of a website called Little Mutt (“mutt” of course being a slang term for “dog”) that showcases the erotic talents of young women, so why don’t we examine the evidence said site provides and see if we can’t summon up an answer to that age old question: Why are women sometimes referred to as if they were canine?

Little Mutt’s tour page presents us with a rather telling image right off the bat. Two blondes in white singlets playfully looking into the camera, one tugging on the other’s shoulder strap. The words FRESH, YOUNG, NATURAL, LADIES give the game away instantly. This site, Little Mutt, contains imagery featuring fresh, young, natural ladies that, more likely than not, do something sexual, or at least erotic, in front of a camera. Man, when they say an image speaks a thousand words, they might’ve been talking about the Mona Lisa or some shit, but it can certainly be applied to Little Mutt’s tour page! Little Mutt even provides us with a mission statement, a manifesto, if you will: “We love porn. We think that most porn is a healthy expression of sexuality in our society. We do not debase women nor are we misogynistic. We love women and what women do for each other and us. We are dedicated to women and good sex. We will always strive to bring you the best porn you’ve ever seen.” Well, if you can’t get behind that, get behind me while I check things out further.

Inside the members’ area lies a sparsely designed homepage that features a list of the most recently added (and some upcoming) galleries and videos of the gorgeous models. One thing that's immediately apparent is Little Mutt's inclusion of a substantial amount of hardcore scenes on what is essentially a teen erotica site. There are so many teen-focused websites that only get as hard as two girls gently placing their hands on each other's vulvas, so it’s nice to see no such restraint here! The girls pound each other with dildos and even get some guys in on the action. There are blowjobs, same and mixed gender threesomes, cumshots and even some anal play. Fucking like rabbits, indeed!

The Little Mutt model index is a nice way to start your browsing, with nice thumbnail images of the many, many girls currently available to be viewed. If you’d prefer, you can even tailor your model search by physical feature as there are plenty of different criteria available from the main menu. As mentioned, the models are damn fine looking - this could very well be one of the hottest selections of amateur models on the Internet. They look like they could be professionals, but at the same time there's a definite amateur newcomer vibe about them. Clicking on a girl will bring you to a page that links to all her scenes, both photo and video. April O’Neal caught my eye, so let’s examine her profile first. Ms. O’Neal (or April, as the Turtles call her) appears in only two videos and two photo galleries at the moment. Many girls have up to half a dozen different scenes but since Ms. O’Neal is still somewhat new to Little Mutt, we'll have to wait a little while before more content is added. Unfortunately there are no vital stats or interviews on the models' pages, which is quite disappointing since their personalities are only somewhat evident in the videos; you get a glimpse of who they are, but no concrete information. It'd be nice to get to know a little bit more about them, more than is provided by the occasional profile page bio, that is.

Videos are available in a couple of different format and resolution options: WMV at 960x540, MPG at 720x404 and iPod compatible MP4 at 352x288. Every now and then a High Definition video will be added to the archive. These HD vids reach 1280x720 pixels and look fantastic. Of these four choices, I highly recommend going with the standard and HD WMVs whenever possible. You have the option of downloading movies in full or in three segments. All videos can be streamed, if you're into that, by simply clicking the DSL/Broadband link (to save you have to right click > save as). There are a few different kinds of scenes that appear here at Little Mutt: solo, girl/girl, and boy/girl, although there’ll intermittently be a boy/boy/girl or, more commonly, boy/girl/girl threesome added. Scenes develop quite naturally thanks to Little Mutt’s dedication to using real couples having “real” sex. All participants seem much calmer than they might under different circumstances, which only serves to make the scenes seem more real - more real than your dream of fucking Faye Reagan anyway.

Photographically, things are going pretty damn well for Little Mutt. There are plenty of great shots in their galleries, all of which can be downloaded via zip archives. Resolutions are quite nice as well without being mind-blowing. 1200x800 used to be the standard size but there seems to have been a recent upgrade to 1067x1600 pixels, which is fantastic to see. Sure, they’re still not as hi-res as some of the better erotic photography sites out there, but those sites usually don’t hold any hardcore, so it all seems to even out quite well. The lighting and framing is always very professional but without that Vaseline-on-the-lens look so many pro photographers favor. Everything on Little Mutt retains some amateur grittiness that translates to realism for the viewer; that can be quite a hard thing to achieve. One downside to the image galleries is the way they're displayed. Every shot in the series is thumbnailed on a single page, instead of spreading them out over three or four pages like most other sites. This can cause the pages to take a while to load, especially if you're already downloading a video or two. Ain’t that just like a little bitch to make you wait for your porn?

Separated from the main content tabs in the menu system are Private Moments, Massage, and Deviations – three specific video types that will be of more interest to a small percentage of members, but are definitely still a valuable inclusion on the site. Private Moments consists of 48 intimate masturbation scenes starring some of the Little Mutt models. Massage brings you 51 scenes of slow, sensual massages being performed on the beautiful bodies of these young ladies; either performed by another model or a rarely-identified man. Deviations goes a little bit further into fetish territory with 24 dildo-play, and S&M movies. Adding these to the main video archive brings the Little Mutt total up to almost 500 selections. Which, along with the 550-odd photo galleries, makes for one hell of an archive! It almost makes you want act like a selfish, hungry mutt yourself and bury it all somewhere where nobody else can get at it.

Membership to Little Mutt will set you back $24.95. While $24.95 seems to be a standard asking price for most sites these days, most sites also include some bonus material or network access for that amount of money. Little Mutt only gives you what's on their servers and a user forum. The forum's pretty cool, though, and some of the models drop by to have a chat every now and then. Does this sound like a worthwhile way to spend $25 and a few hours each week? If you're having trouble deciding, then I'm sure the following ‘yays’ and ‘nays’ will motivate your mind in one direction or another.

Pros:
- There's a lot of very entertaining, exclusive content online in a wide variety of styles from softcore solo scenes to boy/girl/girl threesomes.

- Video downloads are offered in a nice variety of formats with great HD videos popping online every now and then.

- The performances are always very realistic and all girls and guys seem to be having a lot of fun without overcompensating for their unnatural surroundings like most porn encourages.

- Between four and five updates arrive on the site every week, bringing a steady stream of new content to members.

Cons:
- Older content drops below the very good video quality of more recent movies.

- There’s a forum online but it’s not exactly a wellspring of interesting or exciting conversation.

- The site's navigation is in need of a slight tweaking, as it can be cluttered and confusing. You can only search by keywords and results give very little useful information, making the search function fairly useless.

Conclusion:
Little Mutt might not bring us any closer to understanding why women are saddled with the term “bitch” by certain members of the human race, but it sure delivers some sexy, sensual teen erotica for a pretty fair price. With an archive containing about 500 videos and galleries, both, the Little Mutt team really just needs to make sure they continue doing the great job they have been. Since the last time this reviewer took a look at the site, a number of my noted quibbles have been rectified. Ego aside, it’s great to see that the webmasters are paying attention to commentators and making attempts to improve the quality of Little Mutt. Nice work, bitches!
