Overview:
Alt.porn (the "alt." means alternative!) features smoking hot chicks that live the rock 'n' roll lifestyle in all its variations. I'm talking piercings, tattoos, an in-your-face attitude, and the ideal that enjoying and expressing oneself is the most beautiful and soulful thing one can do. There are an increasing number of alt.porn sites popping up in the various corners of the Internet, the latest being Murder Lily (about which I'm going to dish up a wealth of helpful information for you, my beloved readers).

Murder Lily's tour promises "the tastiest morsels of alternative beauty, with tattooed babes, pierced pornstars, sweet gothic hotties, punkettes, modern pinups, rockabilly chicks and pure alt.porn." Well that certainly sounds appetizing to me! Sometimes a fella can get a bit sick of seeing throngs of identical, artificially augmented women getting their brains fucked out. Sometimes a fella needs something a little, well, different. After entering your login details and settling at the main members' page, you're sure to be impressed by the design of the site. The webmasters have done a very nice job keeping the site's appearance in line with that of their models. The look is ornate and classy, with a vaguely gothic color scheme consisting of dark reds, pale pinks and lots of black. At the top of the page sits a menu bar that gives you the means to access every part of the site, including the photo galleries, videos, model index, blog and forum. There's also a category listing that shows you just what kinds of models and content Murder Lily is home to. This can be a good way to browse for some photos or a video to view, but with sites like this I usually find that the model index, if it is a good one, is a better place to see what's on offer.

The women of Murder Lily are, as you would expect from seeing the introductory pages, devotees of various subcultures, gothic, rockabilly, punk, etc., but they all have one thing in common: their rock 'n' roll style and attitude. Their body types also vary quite a bit, from skinny, small-breasted girls like Aprella to Olivia, the busty and vivacious blonde. Most of the girls have a number of tattoos and a piercing or two, but there are a few that have shown self-restraint in the body-modification department, keeping their skin free and natural. After you've taken a short while to check out the model index in its entirety, the time has come to pick a girl to check out more thoroughly. Me, I picked Olivia. Why, I'm not sure. Something just feels hot about her.

Olivia's profile page, like all others on the site, features a few vital statistics, age, tattoos, piercings, etc., and a brief spiel about her personality and the work she's done for the site. Olivia's page also features a nice Q&A with the sexy Canadian rockabilly chick, dishing up some extra tidbits that give you more intimate insight into just who she is. Unfortunately, most of the other profiles don't seem to have these Q&As quite yet. Murder Lily is a fairly new site, after all. Beneath all this text, you'll find a link that will direct you to your selected model's photo galleries.

Each photo gallery contains between 40 and 60 shots, each one shown on the gallery page in thumbnail form with three links beneath it. These links offer you the choice of viewing the photos in small, medium or large sizes (640x480, 800x600 and 1200x900 pixel resolutions, respectively). I must admit to being a little disappointed that the highest resolution wasn't really that high, at least not when compared to many competing websites. The shots do, however, look great, with professional camerawork and a slightly more refined style than that which you'll see other many other alt.porn sites. The women are, of course, excited to express their sexuality on camera and, I've gotta say, they look pretty fucking hot doing so.

Murder Lily's video content is very disappointing, with only six different scenes currently available. Each one does arrive with a variety of viewing options, though. The two newest scenes can be viewed in WMV, MPEG and Flash formats, with a full-length WMV file with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels being the main attraction. All other videos are segmented and significantly lower in quality. What's even more disappointing than the miniscule number of video scenes is the fact that a third of them don't even offer a full-length viewing option. While the scenes themselves feature some pretty cool action, the girls usually strip and masturbate for the camera, there just isn't enough worthwhile content to bother spending much time in this section at all.

The other sections of the site are mildly interesting at best, incredibly mundane at worst. The forum has only been live for a few days so you must forgive the inactivity and lack of discussion. It does appear to be rather well constructed, though. The blog, on the other hand, is totally useless. All it contains are a handful of photos showing exuberant young women modeling bikinis, none of whom fit the site's criteria for alternative beauty. The extras section features a page about the webmasters, a listing of the most highly rated photos and videos, some additional galleries that are fairly unremarkable and a dozen or so desktop wallpaper images featuring some of the more impressive Murder Lily models.

Membership to Murder Lily will cost you $19.95 a month (recurring) or $24.95 (non-recurring). There's no trial option currently available. Bummer! So, are you ready to rock with the foxy dames of Murder Lily or what? How about you mull it over while reading the following short points I've collected for you?

Pros:
- It's always great to have a bit of variety in your porn intake and Murder Lily offers up some pretty sexy alt.porn for just that reason.

- The models featured here are mostly very attractive, with fairly natural bodies that have been decorated with ink and piercings. You know punk and rocker girls are really wild in the sack, right?

- The photos all look very nice, especially when viewed at the highest resolution. Full set zip downloads are also available for each gallery.

- All of the content is exclusive to Murder Lily, as are some of the models.

Cons:
- With less than 70 galleries and only six video scenes, the site is desperately in need of some rapid growth.

- On a number of occasions links didn't take me where I expected to go. It looks like there are still a lot of kinks to be ironed out.

- The forum and blog sections are both empty, Hopefully they'll grow in the near future.

- Updates seem to typically come every five days or so. Murder Lily needs a more frequent update schedule to get this site rolling.

- When trying to download some zip archives of the photo galleries I was blocked and told that my daily limit had been reached, on my first download. Huh?

Conclusion:
You've seen them appearing more frequently elsewhere on the Internet, but now there's a brand new glamour porn alternative that's hosting some of the hottest tattooed rock, punk and goth babes this side of SXSW. The team behind Murder Lily sure has their work cut out for them, but they're off to a pretty good start. The site looks great, feels great and hosts some great content. Unfortunately, there's just not that much of it. Given time, the site will definitely be worth another look - but as of now it's merely a lesser version of other, more established sites of this nature.
