Pros:
I’m Live has a ton of models available at any given time. At the time I first logged in to gather information for this here review there were over 1,500 performers online and that number never changed all that much during my visit. Many cam sites have a huge roster of models but only ever have a few dozen online at any given time, so it’s great to see that’s not the case here.

To head into private chats with performers you’ll need credits. Just how many depends on who you’ll be chatting with. There are a number of cheaper, well, less expensive performers around that may not have recognizable names, but still give great cam.

I’m Live is one of a handful of cam sites that has made quite an effort to offer live shows with actual pornstars. “Psh, whatever. Like who?” Well, Mr. Skepticism, like Joanna Angel, Scarlett Pain, Catalina Cruz, Sara Jay, Lexxxi Lockhart, and Jelena Jensen, for starters!

One really neat feature of I’m Live that I’ve never seen anywhere else is Live View, which enables you to check out half-a-dozen different private shows that other members are participating in for just three credits per minute. You can see which performers are giving it their all and going solo-hardcore and which are teasing more than their patrons might appreciate.

Cons:
I’m Live doesn’t sport a particular fetching page design and, in fact, looks downright dull. Not only is it an unattractive site, but it’s rather cluttered and you might have trouble finding your way around, especially if your all engorged in the nether regions, drawing the blood from your brain.

There’s simply not enough tools to help you narrow down your search for the perfect cam performer. Some are only willing to show themselves doing certain acts, others will push a cucumber into their asshole if you ask nicely. Perhaps there could be a menu dedicated to helping guys find a girl who’ll do what they’re interested in and do it well.

Many cam sites offer free non-private - they’re not exactly “public”, are they - previews to anyone logged into the site. I’m Live only allows for a free 20 second preview, which does help a little, but not enough for you to get a really good idea of what the girl will do in a proper private show.

Video quality isn’t exactly mind-blowing on any webcam site, but I’m Live seems to be lagging behind their leading competitors in this department. Now that most non-pornographic video streaming sites have some level of HD compatibility, I can’t see why I’m Live couldn’t head in that direction, at least for some of their more professional models.

Conclusion:
At a fairly standard rate of 25 credits for $25 and with cam show rates ranging from $2 to $5 per minute, I’m Live can be pretty hard on your virtual wallet while being all too easy on your eyes. The performers range from unknown hometown hotties to some of porn’s biggest names - Joanna motherfucking Angel, folks - and will perform in private for you at their decided fee. Many leading cam sites are jacking up the quality of their video streams to satisfy customers who are all to aware of what a simple broadband connection can offer, so it’d be great to see I’m Live join the ranks of cam sites we know to be the few, the proud, the HD-ready. If you thought you could chat away to your heart’s content without handing out a fair amount of dough, well, that's just silly, so come prepared to pay and you’ll be having a great time even at a fairly low resolution.
