If you’re always on the lookout for the next porno superstar, you could do much worse than to pay close attention to the girls in Peter’s site. The Peter Girls tour page goes to great lengths to impress potential members, touting the “new and improved” Peter Girls that launched in mid-October 2009 and now includes daily updates of High Definition video. With promises of 1440x1080 pixel resolutions, this reviewer’s appetite is surely whetted. Upon re-launch, Peter Girls featured 120 models, 200 galleries, and 200 videos, most of which reach this highly anticipated 1080i resolution. It’s always great to see larger porn sites and network overhaul their online presence to include the latest format and resolution upgrades, but it’s even better to see a two-person operation like Peter and Chelsea’s follow suit. The site also features interviews, behind the scenes footage, and four Romero-operated bonus sites: Lap Dance Gone Bad, Sex On The Beach XXX, Beach House XXX, and POV Porn, the last of which was also recently re-launched with HD videos. As tantalizing as this seems, there’s only one way to find out for sure if Romero and his girls are worth the monthly fee of $29.95 that they’re asking, and that’s for me to quit fucking around, log in, and give you guys the full 411 on what your precious student loan money will get you!

The main page of the Peter Girls members’ area offers up quite a handful of content and information and now does it in an easy-to-read, easy-to-use fashion thanks to the new site design. Where the old site reflected Romero’s pro-am aesthetic in an unflattering way, the new design does so in an extremely complimentary way. Dare I say, it even looks patriotic, what with all the red, white, and blue hues. A large menu bar gives you all your browsing options with expandable buttons going into more detail when hovered over. The database counter tells us that there are currently 293 updates online, including 41,971 photos and 4,473 minutes of video footage. Surely that’s going to be enough to keep new members occupied, at least until the next update arrives. A quick look at the updates page tells us that while not strictly adhering to the daily schedule, updates do find their way online very frequently. This past week has seen a total of seven new gallery/video combos uploaded; some days bringing two or three and giving Peter a day off here and there. Back on the home page, a quick look at the displayed models (“Newest Amateur Babes”) will show Rucca Paige, Ruby Knox, Alyssa Hall, Kelly Divine, Bree Olson, and Ava Rose, all of whom should be familiar to you, the porn addicted readers of Mr. Pink’s.

After taking a gander at the models currently gracing Peter Girls with their luminously lusty presence, making a selection, and landing on your chosen models' profile page, you'll be greeted by a large portrait image and brief bio. In the case of Bree Olson (my first choice), Romero has nine updates currently online, all of which feature both video and photo material. Bree's most recent update, like all updates on the site, is a pretty simple to navigate. After making the selection, you’re taken to a page that offers large link buttons to and audition video, main video, photo slideshow and standard photo gallery. The audition/interview is presented in Flash format at a fairly low resolution but is still going to be of interest to fans, both new and old, of the different models. The scenes’ main videos can’t be streamed, only downloaded, but we are thankfully given three quality options to choose from, all of them in WMV format: 640x480, 720x480, and, well, 720x480. The bitrates increase with each supposed step up in quality, but where are the discussed High Definition videos? It turns out that every new scene doesn’t necessarily contain HD content; in fact, only 65% seem to. When available, the HD videos do reach 1440x1080 pixels and look fairly good, although nowhere near as good as you’d been led to believe. It’s often the lack of professionalism that lets them down, with poorly constructed title cards that wouldn’t look out of place on someone’s shitty YouTube video. (‘I HATE YOU DAD’ is a perfect YouTube reference point and one of my favorites. Yeah, it’s a sick, sad world out there, chums, and I’m proud to be part of it.)

Peter Girls’ 292 image galleries aren’t quite as disappointing as the videos, mostly due to the incredibly large resolutions on offer. Hitting 1372x2106 pixels, these hi-res photos look about as good as amateur adult photography can get. Colors are a little washed out and the lighting is often a bit too confronting, but overall you’ll be pleased with what’s available. As there are no zipped archives on hand, you’ll have to be content with the automated slideshow even if, like me, you find slideshows to be more trouble than they’re worth. Once a gallery or video is underway, it’s pretty standard operating procedure from then on. The girls usually look quite playful and sweet, disrobing at Peter’s request and, in the videos at least, often allowing him to slip his dick into their mouths or pussies. Sometimes another guy will get in on the action, allowing Peter to concentrate on his camera work. Most scenes, however, are limited to stripping and masturbation, which is fine by me. The girls on display are, on the whole, incredibly attractive and make a strong argument for the USA as the premiere destination for horny guys from around the world who are looking to get in a little poon-tourism.

Peter’s other websites, all of which are accessible with your Peter Girls membership, feature more hardcore content and should satisfy fans that find the Peter Girls material to be a little too lightweight. The fun doesn’t stop there, as Peter’s blog often makes for pretty enjoyable reading. Pros:
- Peter and Chelsea are damn good talent scouts; I’ll give them that. The models online here are fantastic!

- A perfectly even mix of videos and galleries is great to see.

- The model interview videos are pretty neat and give you chance to take a peek into the mind of a newly minted pornstar!

- Updates arrive daily.

- As an added bonus, Peter Girls members can access four other Peter Romero websites at no extra cost.

Cons:
- Although the entire site has recently been overhauled, navigating Peter Girls still takes too much attention from the models, which is where we, the viewers, should be focusing at all times.

- Along with a site-wide redesign, the archives have been overhauled. The result? Lots of great content has now been shuffled around to other sites, making it difficult to find.

- HD videos? Yeah, sure, there are some. I just wish they were all in 1080i.

Conclusion:
Although Peter Girls was recently redesigned and re-launched, there are still quite a few problems with it. Some of the content that used to be hosted here is no longer online, having been moved to one of Romero’s other sites – although members can access these, it’s confusing and disorienting having to search elsewhere for what used to be plainly stored in one location. HD videos aren’t as commonplace, which is also disappointing. Still, Romero definitely has a talent for recruiting some of the hottest amateurs (and soon-to-be-superstars) and shooting them in great scenes, so the complaints are really not the be-all and end-all of this assessment.
