Overview:
It’s always great to see an adult website touch upon a sub-genre of porn that doesn’t get anywhere near enough attention from the industry as a whole. Sure, there might not be all that many 100% Native Americans left these days – thanks a lot, Pilgrims – which is obviously a strong contributing factor to the infrequent appearances of Native American women in adult entertainment, but that doesn’t mean these women don’t exist and aren’t eager to find an audience. Recently I came upon Ruby Knox (though not literally, I’m afraid), a 21-year-old Californian and new entrant into the world of pornography. Pleasantly surprised that Ruby proudly stated her heritage as Native American, I vowed to seek out her work whenever I happened upon a porn network or website large enough, all encompassing enough, to include her amongst its roster. Having found a dozen or so great Ruby Knox scenes scattered around the ‘net – she features most prominently on Next Door Hookups, performing some very realistic ‘lovemaking’ scenes – following her on Twitter and befriending her on MySpace, I found myself wanting to see and hear more from Native American adult performers. What luck then that a review was requested of NDN Girls, a site that only features Native Americans. If you, like me, have been hanging out for some Native American porn that promises a more authentic experience than Mika Tan dressed up as Pocahontas, NDN Girls just might do the trick. Shit, at this point, it’s pretty much your only option.

NDN Girls’ preview area makes it clear that the webmaster (Shimmy) is rather proud of the fact that Ruby Knox has shot for the site, using her name three times on the lone tour page. While Ruby’s sweet (and sweetly fuckable) face can’t be seen anywhere (at least, not yet), our host mentions that he has scheduled an upcoming shoot during which he hopes to film her “cute little ass”. The other girls shown on this page unfortunately aren’t as amazingly hot as Ruby Know and look, well, pretty damn rough around the edges. Some guys like the object of their thrice-daily masturbatory releases to be as degenerate as possible – hence the popularity of Audrey “Anything Anal” Hollander – but girls sitting on toilets smoking cigarettes and sucking cock while six-months pregnant seems like it might be heading into shady territory. Someone eats an A&W burger, too - gross! The tour page is really quite insightful, or at least it appears to be, showing you what we can assume is the private members’ area of NDN Girls. Lengthy synopses are present for each previewed scene – there are eleven currently on display – as are small and large preview images. It appears that videos are available in a number of different formats – HD MP4s, smaller iPod-ready MP4s, DivX in full-length and split versions, although not all options are present in each preview; a little disconcerting, I must say. Before we let a weak tour page spoil the fun, lets’ give NDN Girls the benefit of the doubt and check the site out in full.

After logging in and taking but a cursory glance at the members’ area, you’ll realize that the tour page didn’t just seem forthcoming with information, it was an almost exact replica of the members’ area. The only real differences are the lack of advertising and the uninhibited access to downloads that members now have. A photo of Ruby Knox sits at the top of the page and I’m sorry to say it’s probably the most professional, arousing, and enjoyable image on the homepage. (Though the cartoon Indian chicks are pretty cute, too.) While I can totally support the Shimmy’s vision for this site and I understand that it’s only early days, I really hope he can cast some more unequivocally attractive models in the future. I always feel horrible making such criticisms, but these women and men are in porn – being shallow is expected! 

Pressing on and hitting up the Girls page, you’ll find… Well, you’ll find exactly the same page that we previously understood to be the homepage. The main menu also links to Blog, Bonus Content, and Member’s Lounge and, yes, they all redirect back to this very same page with only a single exception. The Blog link actually takes you to Shimmy's blog. A black pornographer, blogger, podcaster, and adult webmaster of NDN Girls, Shimmy’s a pretty entertaining guy who shares some great stories about wannabe pornstars with big mouths (for yakkin’ not suckin’) crashing on the floor of his new, as-yet-unfurnished waterfront apartment for a few days before he politely asks them to move along. Now that we can put a face and name to the cock, let’s continue and see if Shimmy’s online labor of love can produce something worthwhile or if everything will result in misdirected links and less-than-gorgeous models. 

Back at the main page – where else – sits the full archive of scenes NDN Girls currently offers. With only twelve updates on the site, none of them dated, NDN Girls really finds itself in a spot of bother. The next update allegedly brings the glorious Ruby Knox to these pages and will be a more than welcome addition, but until then things are decidedly bland around here. Sure, it’s fun to read Shimmy’s pussy-hunting anecdotes and I’m glad someone is finally giving Native American girls a shot at the adult entertainment world, but it wouldn’t hurt to ditch the rampant use of the N-word. If, however, you’re into somewhat degrading porn, made with no budget – the lighting setup for one scene was a $2 LED flashlight – featuring what could only appropriately be described as “skanky” women, you’ll be down for some NDN Girls action but undoubtedly disappointed at the fact that there are so few scenes online. Shimmy’s choice vocabulary is quite amusing at times – “Now I don't know if this was a violent and/or crazy thug nigga indian motherfucker on the other side of the door and I sure as hell wasn't about to find out and fight some random nigga over a little fucking sony tape in my camera and have the rez cops show up,” – but this can be a little off-putting when you’re trying to stroke one off to Celene Morningbutterfly (the aforementioned smoking, stroking, pregnant, lavatory-dweller).

Videos are made available predominantly in MP4 format, although there is a DivX option provided for one scene. Normally, as I quite like MP4 and find it be a versatile little format, this wouldn’t be a problem. When one video only supplies DivX, two offer HD downloads only, three only chaptered clips, and one doesn’t even provide any working download links, it’s hard to be forgiving. After downloading one of the HD vids and letting it play, I found the quality to be about as good as you can expect from a low-budget shoot. I don’t know what kind of camera Shimmy uses but he claims it has 3 CCD capabilities. Whatever the case, videos do look pretty good but would definitely benefit from some better lighting. Someone throw a Kino Flo Shimmy’s way, would ya?

Photos are, like much of NDN Girls, unavailable – clicking the sole photo link actually takes you to an off-site prank page entitled Leek Spin, the absurdity of which you’ll have to discover for yourself. So, with no photos to peruse and no functioning bonuses to appreciate, there’s not much left to do here but check out. How much? $29.95? Well, that’s definitely too expensive. Even though I, and most of you, have probably already made up our minds, Mr. Pink always takes great pride in giving every adult site a chance to prove itself before judgment is made. So, as I raise the gavel and it begins its slow-mo descent upon NDN Girls’ merit, let’s recap on the most important evidence presented by both the prosecution and the defense, shall we? All rise!

Pros:
- The tour page is very honest and really only misleads the visitor on one issue – Ruby Knox.

- You know, for all the talk of the upcoming Ruby Knox scene, I’m surprised that I’m still excited about it - but I am.

- The models certainly appear to be of at least partial Native American heritage. Names like Celene Morningbutterfly aren’t that common in Vermont. 

- If you like your porn to be so degenerate it’s almost stomach churning, you’ll be in for a treat here. Smoking, cocksucking, pregnant women being filmed in motel restrooms? Wowsers!

Cons:
- The entire site consists of a single page. Yes, just the one. (Shimmy’s blog is an off-site job.)

- The models aren’t exactly going to be winning any beauty pageants. Well, maybe on one of the smaller reservations, but not in Albuquerque.

- Links to videos are often unavailable or only present you with partial-scene downloads.

- Shimmy seems like his heart is in the right place, but I kinda wish he’d lay off the language a little. I’m sure many viewers will find it off-putting and insulting to the models.

Conclusion:
It’s not as if NDN Girls is totally without merit – Shimmy seems like a good guy just trying to make a buck and find an Indian to fuck; Native Americans aren’t well-represented in the porn industry and it’s nice to see at least one site dedicated to changing that; Ruby Knox is coming! Ruby Knox is coming - but I guess even after you factor in those positives, NDN Girls still presents visitors with a pretty underwhelming experience. For thirty bucks a month, you deserve a bigger archive, dated uploads, working links, and authentic Native women that aren’t this homely. Again, I love the sites premise and wish Shimmy all the best in getting his shit together and making NDN Girls something to truly be proud of. Until then, though, I’ll stick to ogling Pocahontas – even if that damn raccoon does get all the good lines.
