Overview:
The Women's Murder Club, The First Wives Club, Women's Poker Club, and Ladies of the Club; what is it with chicks and hanging around in groups? AMC, you know, just like the cinema chain, have a particular fondness for participating in "group activities" or teaming up with a special female friend to, uh, entertain a gentleman caller. There are others for whom simply belonging to such a club is enough. They don't feel the need to constantly be around other women, preferring the company of a well-hung fella instead. Whichever personality type a woman has, if she loves to fuck on camera she's most likely a member of the Adult Movie Club.

The web designers of the AMC site have done quite a nice job. The attractive layout and clean graphic design make it a pleasure to look at. The red/orange/yellow color scheme gives a sense of strength and vibrancy to what is often a pretty dull section of the Internet. The main members page dishes up all the info you need to get started, from the latest DVD updates to search and browse features like a pornstar listing, top rated scenes and drop-down menus showing every category of sexual act known to man. There's even a tab system in the main content frame of the front page that allows you to immediately view recent updates by DVD or scene as well as peep forthcoming additions or even the entire catalog of currently hosted scenes. If you haven't figured it out by now, Adult Movie Club is a DVD download site. There seem to be more of these types of sites emerging each week, so it looks like AMC has some tough competition. I generally find that searching for an attractive model takes precedence over finding the wittiest DVD title or swankiest DVD cover design but, thanks to the disappointing absence of small portrait photos in the listing, you'll need to know the name of the gal you're looking for with this site. You can't just browse for hotties, although the alphabetically organized pages do contain a few shots of random pornstars along the side (which can lead to the discovery of a new favorite gal). A better method of finding content seems to be to simply browse the most recent updates. If you're feeling adventurous, you can dive back deep into the archives - but there's a plethora of good stuff that's only been online a short while as well.

Once you've selected a DVD, clicking it will bring you to a page that divulges all you could possibly need to know about that particular title. A detailed list of performers is given and features a great tagging system that allows you to click on a star or studio's name and instantly find more of their content. Underneath these tidbits of info is a reviews section where members can share their thoughts on the DVD (or individual scenes) but, alas, it seems to be used quite rarely at this point.

Each DVD is split up into a number of scenes (four or five, usually) and each must be downloaded separately as there's no full DVD download option. Streaming capabilities are also on hand for those that don't want to wait for a download to finish before rolling the scene. Streams are in Flash format and seem to only be available in "High" resolution. Downloads, however, come in a rather impressive array of formats, including low, medium and high resolution WMVs, QuickTime MOVs and, under the heading Portable Devices, MP4 files that are preformatted to play in iPod, iPhone, PSP and Zune devices. All I'll say at this point is that the MP4s make for very a convenient download if you're looking to bring some porn with you when next you traverse the land, sea or sky of this big, beautiful planet of ours. Oh, and the high quality WMVs hit a lovely resolution of 720x480 pixels, which provides clear and easy viewing. There are numerous technical problems that users have encountered, including, but not limited to, very slow download speeds, broken links, thumbnails that don't load, a few weeks with no updates and poor customer support, that bring the overall quality of AMC down to the point where it's not really worth spending the monthly cost of $29.95 just to find frustrations like these preventing you from grabbing and enjoying your porn. Pros:
- The content collection is expansive and covers pretty much every style and genre of porn that you're ever likely to want.

- There are over 2000 DVDs currently online, a number rivaled only by a few of the more illustrious DVD download sites.

- Three new DVD titles are added every day, which means around three hours of each day could be spent watching new porn titles.

- Great video download options, including MP4s that are ready to go straight onto your portable media device.

Cons:
- Numerous customer complaints have been made about various technical problems at Adult Movie Club. Broken links, broken Flash movies, periods with no updates and the like are causing many members to cancel their memberships.

- The navigation around the site is a little tough to get through at times.

- AMC's servers simply aren't fast enough. Many users complain about slow download speeds and nothing seems to have been done by the webmasters to remedy this.

- For a site with this many problems, AMC sure has some brass balls, charging almost 30 bucks a month.

Conclusion:
Adult Movie Club should be a great site. It has all the right components: good web design, a huge collection of DVDs, wide variety and good video options. Unfortunately there are far too many aspects of the site that require immediate attention for your $30 to not be at least partially wasted on a membership, especially when there are practically flawless websites like VideoBox offering what is essentially the same service but better and for less money.
