Intro:
I, Mr. Pink, have often decried pretension in porn. Preferring filthy, depraved onscreen fucking over pseudo-artistic black and white “nudes” any day of the week, I’ve always found pornsites that attempt to cater to a more sophisticated sense of eroticism a tad pretentious. Met Art, it could be said, is one such site. Boasting “the largest, freshest, classiest collection of nude art and fine photography in the world,” Met Art is one of the more popular erotic imagery sites and consistently rates very highly among my esteemed fellow reviewers. Why is this so? Well, glancing back at this reviewer’s previous analysis of Met Art, it seems I was impressed by the attractiveness of the models, the wonderful video options, regular and frequent updates, and the incredibly detailed high-resolution digital photos. I can’t imagine those elements disappearing over time, but I am interested to see if Met Art has managed to take their formula - stunningly beautiful nude women photographed in arresting environments by world-class lensmen - and brought it to a new level of quality. Access to Met Art would normally set you back $29.95, but Mr. Pink’s readers can save ten dollars and join for just $19.95. Will this expenditure bring unequaled erotic joy? Stare into Mr. Pink’s crystal ball and all will be revealed.

Pros:
Everything online at Met Art is 100% exclusive and won’t be found elsewhere. The site’s signature style is refined and tasteful and attempts to portray the models as perfect examples of the beauty of the female form, not gussied-up fuckholes with little to no self-respect.

The incredibly high quality of images, both photo (reaching 4992x6668 pixels) and video (reaching 720p and 1400x1000), presents the models in the clearest, most natural way possible. You’re privy to all sorts of physiological information most other sites don’t allow. Everything looks stunningly sharp, precise, and strong.

Met Art hosts an enormous amount of content and the archive expands with multiple updates every day. With over 9,000 galleries and 800 videos currently online, there’s enough content here to keep you busy for months on end. Add to that the average influx of between 20 and 30 new items each week and you’re sitting pretty, my friend.

Met Art not only features a very pleasant web design, but navigating your way around the various pages and archives is very straightforward. An extensive search function and browsing system allows you to select a model that meets your high standards of beauty and there’s very little obstruction when hunting down that perfect gallery or video.

Cons:
With models as stunning as these, it’s a little surprising that Met Art has decided not to give each of them a detailed profile page with biographies, Q&As, and interviews. Many sites of a similar nature offer these informative services, so why not Met Art?

A slight refinement of the search options would lead to better results and easier browsing. It’s not at all difficult to find what you want, but it could always be a smidge easier. There is currently no option to select only girl/girl material and a few other aspects of the shoots (location, mood) could be expanded to provide more direct browsing.

This following point isn’t really a criticism; more like a preemptive prediction of what some viewers might find a fault. There’s no hardcore content on Met Art at all. If you wouldn’t object to seeing these exquisite models fucked every which way but dry, you’re out of luck. Still, that’s kind of like writing a letter of complaint to Taco Bell, insisting they sell chicken-fried ham hocks.

Conclusion:
There are some adult sites that have managed to elevate themselves to the uppermost echelon of erotic entertainment. VideoBox beats out almost every other DVD download site; Burning Angel shows all alt.porn wannabes how it’s really done; and Met Art leads the many, many erotic art websites. Perhaps it’s the wonderful selection of stunning European models posing in various exotic and everyday locales - are you a waterfall or bathtub man? - and the immaculate presentation of the content, with stunning high-resolution images and powerful HD videos, or perhaps it’s that this is one of the very few erotic nude websites that just might escape accusations of rampant pretension and deserve the term “erotic art”. Whatever the case, Met Art is as strong as ever and bound to please anyone looking for something more subtle than Brutal Dildos.
