Over the past week or so, we here at Mr. Pink’s have focused almost all of our attention on the work of one man. He’s not a household name like Hugh Hefner or Larry Flynt, nor is he a revered pornographic performer like Manuel Ferrara or Peter North. Denys Defrancesco is his name and he keeps a fairly low profile for one of the industry’s top talents. His skills lay behind the camera - undoubtedly the reason you probably wouldn’t recognize him should you rub shoulders at a convention - but his work is often instantly recognizable due to its clarity, elegance, and distinctly European flavor. Over at his DDF Prod (as in Productions) online headquarters, Defrancesco has assembled a hefty selection of his original and exclusive content and provided a virtual gateway to his other ten porn sites, most of which have recently received a fresh review from yours truly. With a membership price of $44.95 per month, most folks will definitely be hemming and hawing over whether to join up, so why don’t we check DDF Prod out a little more closely and see if it’s as worthwhile as it seems?

Pros:
Videos and photos residing on DDF Prod are now of a fantastic high level of quality. Videos are High Definition and reach a 1280x720 resolution in both WMV and MOV formats, coming through with great clarity, strength, and vibrancy. Photos are available in three resolutions - 532x800, 799x1200, and 1331x2000 pixels - and look fantastic.

The DDF Prod network presents a huge archive of predominantly hardcore porn. 1 By Day alone holds over 30,000 videos and there’s at least another 5,000 spread across the other nine networked sites. Updates arrive daily, often multiple times each day, and bring you a huge helping of Euro porn each week, let alone each month.

Denys Defrancesco isn’t only a more than competent photographer and erotic artist, he’s a fantastic talent scout. Hiring many, if not most, of Europe’s most stunningly sensual adult models for his online porno empire, Defrancesco has a fantastic roster of hotties that’ll definitely keep you coming back for more.

Although the vast majority of DDF Prod’s content can be classified as fairly obvious straight Euro hardcore, there’s some good variety within that field. Niches like oral-only, foot fetishism, fisting, large breasts, sapphic sex, and anal are all available. Then there’s House of Taboo, the network’s hardcore fetish site...

Cons:
Navigation seems to be a major issue for all DDF sites, DDF Prod included. Search options are borderline nonexistent and archives are frustratingly split into monthly listings that can’t be viewed more than one at a time. It’ll take you a while to find your dream scene, I’m afraid.

Unfortunately, there’s an obvious disparity between the older DDF content and that which has been added in recent months. HD videos are limited to the last 12-18 months of updates and high resolution photos only go back that far as well. While there’s not much that can be done about this (unless Defrancesco is sitting on HD masters of everything he’s shot since 2000), it’s still a bit of a bummer, ya know?

A couple of the sites tend to, on occasion, share content. Digging through the archives, I found a handful of scenes and galleries sitting on more than one site. This doesn’t happen often enough to be a major source of frustration for you, the prospective member, but it’s still somewhat disappointing.

The design of the network hub pages isn’t as pleasing as that of the sites themselves and could do with a revised take from the design team. When viewing the site in Firefox, this reviewer experienced a number of graphic glitches that obscured links and completely hid some navigation buttons. It looked fine in Google Chrome, but making the network Firefox-ready should be a high priority for the webmasters.

Conclusion:
DDF Prod is very nearly a rousing success with little this reviewer can find to fault. I say “very nearly” because there are some rather obvious areas requiring improvement - site design, older content quality, content sharing, model profiles - that, at this point, are worth noting as negatives. Navigating your way around the network and to your desired dream scenes is nowhere near as fluid and faultless as it should be; the main drawback to a membership. But, over all, there’s really not a whole lot to complain about here. What Denys Defrancesco does is simple, sure, but it’s also thoroughly worthy of your attention.
