Overview:
Considering how many heterosexual males regard the typical Playboy Bunny or Playmate as the pinnacle of female attractiveness, you'd think it'd be hard to top Hef's original Playboy concept, style, and execution. Bollocks! It was only a matter of time before someone eclipsed Playboy's universally understood sexiness, but who would've thought this new, better version of Playboy would come straight from the Playboy offices? Playboy beats Playboy, say what? Playboy Plus is the company's powerhouse online members only club, offering exclusive digital access to all the Playmates, Coeds, Celebrities, Cybergirls, Amateurs, and other stunningly sexy (and suitably naked) women. Guaranteeing all members, who pay $29.99 per month for access, four updates every day, 3,000 models, and, well, I'm not quite sure what else. As is often the case with Playboy's sites, the tour pages of Playboy Plus aren't especially forthcoming about exactly what it holds inside its members area. Sure, there are a ton of gorgeous and curvaceous bunnies luring you inside, but little else is disclosed, leaving your faithful reviewer, me, Mr. Pink, to dig in deep and figure out exactly what your thirty bucks gets you, should you pledge your allegiance to Playboy Plus. Wanna know more? How could you not? This is Playboy PLUS, my man! It's gotta be good!

Pros:
Keeping firmly in place with Playboy's reputation, the women of Playboy Plus are incredibly sexy, curvaceous women beautifully shot by world class lensmen. Split into groups - Coeds, Celebrities, Cybergirls, Amateurs, Playmates, and Internationals (my favorite) - the blonde, brunette, black haired, and copper-topped models can be a easily browsed and are introduced with small but vital profile pages.

Playboy photoshoots are about as far from amateur as you can get and Playboy Plus keeps things typically high-end with soft, yet dynamic photography and videography capturing the sultry sexual essence of the models perfectly. Galleries are fairly typical of Playboy's style and show the models all gussied up in slutty (yet somehow seemingly everyday) outfits, unveiling their naked forms, and mugging for the camera. Hot stuff!

Not only do the images and videos look good aesthetically, they're also delivered in fairly high resolutions: most recent photos reach either 1600px or 2800px and look very strong, while videos hit a very nice, heavily detailed High Definition resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. Playboy at 1080p? You don't wanna miss that, do you?

Something new is added to the already huge Playboy Plus archive four times every day, bringing the 900-scene, 3,400-gallery collection plenty of activity. The image archive is especially satisfying and covers everything from the newest, freshest Coed to the legend herself, Miss Marilyn Monroe, December 1953 Playmate of the Month.

Every Playboy Plus membership gives its owner access to Playboy's large and very active popculture and entertainment site, Playground. There you'll find everything from an interview with System of a Down's Serj Tankian to surprisingly saucy photo-filled articles on a Playboy golf tour or jazz festival.

Cons:
Galleries outnumber videos here more than three-to-one and although Playboy was once known as a photo mag, Hef's empire now includes TV.
Most of the videos and especially those focusing on Coed models are edited in a fast, MTV-style fashion with pumping R&B soundtracks, making it quite difficult to concentrate on the bodies in motion, the very bodies that brought you here.

Sourced as they are from magazine issues, many of the photo galleries tend to hold fairly small photos, with many peaking at a paltry 800px. The further back you go to find what gets your sexual cogs winding, the more likely it is to be somewhat visually disappointing.

Content held here at Playboy Plus is, predictably, not entirely exclusive and may be found not just on other Playboy websites, but in the printed publications, too. Even jumping over to Playground can find you surrounded by the same Playmate galleries that you just devoured at Playboy Plus.

Comprehensive search and browse tools quite simply don't exist here at Playboy Plus. Forget your insanely specific taste in women, fella, 'cause on this site there's no direct path you can take to your own personal idea of heaven, unless, that is, your own personal idea of heaven is any woman hot enough for Playboy.

Conclusion:
Huge as it is, Playboy Plus can be more than a touch confusing as you try to sort through the thousands and thousands of updates in search of that one immaculate Playmate or Cybergirl, the one who'll make every cent of your membership cost completely worth it. This confusing navigation system unfortunately bring the enjoyability of Playboy Plus down a few notches, but doesn't exactly leave it in the gutter. This is Playboy, after all,  and what better company is there in which to place your trust? The softcore content held here can offer quite a lot of variety or it can all seem the same; it really depends on what galleries and videos you happen to look at. It's great to at least see a strong variety of models, with Playmates and Coeds, Internationals and Cybergirls all presented alongside each other and looking as gob-smackingly gorgeous as can be. That said, Playboy Plus seems to be a bit lacking in the Plus department. This is basically just Playboy with videos, and basically every Playboy site offers some form of video content, making Playboy Plus unfortunately seem kind of like just another half-hearted yet strangely fulfilling effort from those in charge at Playboy HQ.
